Food insecurity remains at critical levels. An updated IPC analysis for March–June 2026 indicates 5.8 million people (52 percent) are
projected in IPC Phase 3+, including a modest reduction in the population facing IPC Phase 4 (Emergency) since the 2025 peak. However, WFP
warns that this fragile improvement could be reversed as insecurity persists and higher fuel prices further increase transport and food costs.
